Just got new alloys – need to protect them from curb rash

I finally bit the bullet and bought a set of gorgeous new alloys for my car, and they look absolutely stunning, but I’m already paranoid about damaging them because I know how easy it is to scrape them against kerbs, especially in tight parking spaces around the city. I’ve seen so many cars with badly scratched rims and I really don’t want mine to end up looking like that after all the money I’ve just spent. I’ve been looking into getting some kind of protection for them, maybe like a clear film or a ceramic coating that can help prevent scratches and make them easier to clean, because the brake dust on these things is already driving me crazy. I work in Mussafah so I’m hoping to find a workshop nearby that can do this properly without me having to drive across town and leave my car for ages. Has anyone here had their rims protected with a coating or film and can recommend a good shop? I’m really curious about the different options available and how well they actually hold up against everyday wear and tear.
