Having trouble getting this to work on my windows 8.1 machine.

    Windows 8.1 64bit
    Ableton 9.1.5 (64bit)
    Max6.1.8 (64bit)

I’m trying to figure out if this is a m4live thing or a pull related issue. Maybe you’ve seen this error before? (had to hand type it so there maybe some spelling errors)

mxj: could not initialize Java 2 Runtime Environment.

    Hi Kirkwoodwest,

It is most likely that you have copied files into the wrong place
    – send a screenshot of your C:\Program Files\Cycling ’74\Max 6.1\Cycling ’74\java\lib directory to support@xmonsta.com so we can diagnose

It could be that you havent got a java runtime installed. However, this is highly unlikely. You could try installing the 64 bit offline version here – http://www.java.com/en/download/manual.jsp

    Cheers

    X

that offline java install fixed my issue.

Loving the new release. I will be making a bunch of presets for my VSTs now. THANK YOU. <3 <3

I would just like to add, that I had this issue and tried updating my Java multiple times but it was never fixed. But that 64 bit offline link also fixed this issue for me, perhaps you should mention it the manual?

Yes, good idea Juan. I’ll add it to the manual now. Many thanks
