Need help with set up

I can’t even tell where I’m going wrong! Can someone please post a video of the set up process? I’m not retarded but this is ridiculous!

Contact support@xmonsta.com and we’ll be able to help you. Please can you provide a description of what is happening? Also, right click on the Max device and select “open max window”, to find out if there are any errors in there.

Thanks for the quick response. I just emailed.

As far as the description is concerned, I’m really not sure. I followed the software install instructions but now I can’t sync my ipad and ableton.

Ok so I opened the max window and the error stated: “Could not load class ‘net.loadbang.jython.mxj.ScriptEngine'”

I reloaded max per the instal instructions and tried to follow the install instructions again and I’m still having trouble.

Okay, I’m having a bit of a different problem. I’ve followed all the instructions. Ive got the templates loaded onto the ipad, when I move parameters on devices within ableton the controls on the templates change but not vice versa. The problem Ive got is I cant seem to find the MyMxDCore.pyc file. All the other ones are there. Ive re merged all the files to no luck and also re installed max. Even then MyMxDCore.pyc doesnt show. Nothing even comes up in a google search for it?!? Would this affect the functionality of it, Any help would be really appreciated. Cheers

Apologies for this Ben, you dont need the MyMxDCore file. This is a test file. I will remove it from the install

There are a few reasons why your problem could happen:

1) Incorrect files, or files missing from _MxDCore (however I think this is not your issue, because you’re only missing MyMxDCore which isnt needed)
2) IP/Port set up incorrectly on the Lemur settings (The IP/port in Lemur settings should be your MAC IP and the port on the amxd device 8004)
3) Firewall blocking the port (turn your firewall off while you get it set up – we can send you a rule for your firewall if needed). A good tool for checking whether your computer is responding to your lemur is this – https://itunes.apple.com/en/app/network-ping-lite/id289967115?mt=8 which allows you to ping your computer, to check whether connections are received.
